Snowing in Edinburgh!!

My neighbours' flat!!

Salisburg Craig, a mountain in front of my house .

Wow, what a beautiful morning!! Even the Aurthur Seat was covered with snow.

I was playing with snow outside my home.

The Rainkellor Street was covered by snow too!!

For those who are inspired to be surgeons, this is a place that is a must to visit- The Royal College of Surgeons. Note the statue of the hand. It is holding a surgical blade.

The Bank Street
Princes Street was so beautiful with snow as thick as probably 3-5cm covering its surface.

This was taken in the Princes Street Garden.

I was enjoying taking a walk in the town on that wonderful morning.

A local was trying to build a giant snowman . This was a really huge one. Hmmm, this ang mo was really ambitious and persistent.

A view of the Princes Street Garden and the North Bridge.

Holidays In Amsterdam, Germany and Austria (part 2)

Frankfurt
'Frankfurt, Frankfurt and Frankfurt'. Frankfurt is largest city in the German's Hesse state and the 5th largest city in Germany. I suspect our favourite frankfurt sausages in tesco come from this marvelous civilisation.
Evening view of one of the city main street.
I didnt see any Frankfurt branded sausages but bought a lot of Ritter chocholates, a famous local brand.

Anantharaman and I at the Frankfurt Airport.

From the left: Alice Su, Lee Yan, Anantharaman and I

This picture was taken on the last night of our trip. From the left; Anantharaman , Kok Foong, Wy Keat (as represented by the luggage bag) and Alice.

Miss Alice was 'playing' with my laptop. Hmmm, I wonder what was she doing with the laptop..watching something adult??

Anantharaman was enjoying his hot-dog which he purposely walked out all the way to get it for his supper. Ah, i remember the taste now..really superb!!. word just not enough to describe it!!
And in Germany, what else can you do if you don't drink? Lets get myself intoxicated.

Hmmm, can't feel the effect of the alcohol at all. Izit because I am a good drinker or the drink was lousy? (hihi..what a big word)

Anantharaman was trying to impress Alice and Lee Yan with his manhood. He wanted to tell that he was as mighty as T-Rex, I guessed so ;-)

At a roof top cafe!!!

The main clock tower at the city 's old town.

A scenic view from the brigde.

Another picture of the river that runs through the Frankfurt city

An old catholic church standing firmly at the river bank

Ang mo 'friend' invited Anantharaman to take a picture with him. God knows why Ananth dragged me along. But I don't mind la..I am not bad looking ;-p
From the left: Kok Foong (me), a random ang mo believed to be a Russian and possibly 'ada sikit-sikit suka-suka pada' my friend, Anantharaman .
I love this picture. Taken by a pair of skillful hands (arr, 'pai seh'. this one can be considered ok la given that the rest of the pictures were a bit' CACATed')

Yeah still in Frankfurt

We were posing outside The European Central Bank (ECB), the world's most important bank, which responsibles for monetary policy covering the 16 member States of the Eurzone. This is nothing but the EU bank headquarter which was established by the European Union (EU) in 1998 during the global world recession.
Salsburgh
Salsburgh is a city in Austria which is a former coal mining town. I learned only 3 things about this city/town-(1) Mozart was born here (i hope i am not wrong) (2) the sound of music was produced here. (3) there is no kangaroo in Austria unlike in Australia
I especially love this town because The Sound of Music was one of my childhood favourite movies. Never even in my dream that i could one day step on the ground where this musical movie was produced.
Wearing superb thick covering our head with hood as it was sleeting. Huh, it was a horrible day; sleeting thus wetting us and it was crazy cold (-15 degree celcius)...what the hell!!!

We desperately needed some good food to warm ourselves. Hmmm this meal was not very spectacular but was good enough to provide us some energy to brave the sleet after that.

Smiling in Anantharaman's handsome face. I wonder what was in his mind.

Hmmm, I can't recall what building was this. Must be a church, council hall or a museum.

Another awe-inspiring scene of a river. This is different from the one above as this river is situated in Austria not Frankfurt (Germany)

Wet, Cold, Horrible, Hell...what else can't I say. Get me out of this freaking cold town please.

Hmmm can remember if this was taken in Salsburgh or Munich. I place my bet--->Salsburgh.

The Cow--> MoooMooo. Nothing interesting about it because this cow can't produce milk. But that note of the drawing on his body. This drawing mimic the scene in the legendary musical movie: The Sound of Music---> Doe- a deer, a female deer, Ray- a drop of golden sun, Me- a name i call myself, Far- a long long way to run, Sew- a needle pulling thread, La- a note to follow so, Tea- a drink with jam and bread.

Alice, Lee Yan and Anantharaman posing in the subway.

This picture was taken in our hostel in Munich. It is called Wombat. I highly recommend you to stay there if you happen to visit Munich. It is a very relaxing hostel. As you can see, we were all enjoying ourself in the seventh heaven.

Gentlemen must be served with a good dinner and a pint of beer

Our snow man!!!! a bit tiny though

Hurray we were in Neuschwanstein. This place is marvellous. Trust me:)

Snow Snow!! I have never seen so thick snow even in Edinburgh.

A photo of me and the legendary Neuschwanstein castle. 'Does this castle reminds you of any disny fairy tale? perhaps sleeping beauty. Alright, I am going up to rescue my sleeping beauty, Don't try to stop me'.
I also bought some nice postcards here since it was imposiible for my camera to capture the best angle :-)

Horses were waiting to fetch their princes and princesses up the hill to the 'fairy tale' castle. You can be a prince or princess as well. They will fetch you if you have something called cash.

Wah, looked as if I was in Switzerland as well. hihi..can go and cheat friends with this picture.

Wah I look ..so, so....SILLY ;-)

Behind us was another castle (not the fairy tale castle)

"Yo, what are you staring at? We just wanna eat some bread before climbing up the hill."

Munich
Munich is the capital city of Bavaria a state in the Germany. Munich, the 3rd largest city in Germany after Berlin and Hamburg, is located on the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps.

We were playing monopoly back in our hostel, The Wombat.

Ananth was in love with animal...Zoophilia

A photo of Me, Alice and Lee Yan with a tour guide (I have forgotten his name). The focus are not supposed to be us but the tour guide. He boasted that he was a famous figure in Munich and had even appeared in the TV. Waoh, sounded like a real famous figure. " Do you guys know him?". Honestly, I don't quite admire his snobbish attitude. On top of that, he was rude to his clients as well.

" It is time to eat again. What a beautiful life!"
And Below are some other photos taken in the Munich:
